Safety functions
The appliance is equipped with a range of safety functions to ensure safe operation. Please find below
some important functions:
Overpressure valve resp. steam outlet valve
The appliance is equipped with an overpressure valve in order to guarantee the safe operation with the
steam pressure function. In case of an error, the overpressure will be released automatically by the valve.
Lid locking
The appliance is equipped with an automatic lid locking. When the pressure in the appliance increases, the
lid is locked automatically and cannot be opened anymore. The lid can only be opened after the pressure
has been released.
Automatic cooking control with keep-warm function
The appliance is automatically controlling the cooking process. As soon as the requested pressure level
or temperature is reached, the appliance automatically controls the power supply - you do not have to
readjust manually. After reaching the set cooking time, the appliance automatically switches to the keep-
warm function (please note: not all programmes are equipped with the keep-warm function).
Button for a safe release of steam pressure
The steam pressure can easily and safely be removed from the appliance. By pressing the button for the
steam outlet valve, the steam can be let off automatically, so that the lid can be opened safely.
Start time pre-selection
The appliance is equipped with a start time pre-selection. Thus dishes can be prepared in the appliance
hours before and finished at the right time (please note not all programmes are equipped with the start
time pre-selection).
CAUTION:
The use of the start time preselection is not recommended if perishable ingredients
(e.g. milk, minced meat, eggs) are to be processed.
The inner side of the removable cooking pot is equipped with a high quality non-stick coating. This is
particularly easy to clean and prevents food from sticking to the surface. Cleaning the cooking pot in a
dishwasher is not recommended.
CAUTION:
Do not scratch or cut on the surface of the cooking pot. A scratched protective coating
is not covered by the warranty.
