7. “LOCK“ function – child-proof lock
• To activate the “LOCK“ function, touch the “LOCK” touch key for 2 seconds.
• The electronic control will block all touch keys (except ON/STANDBY) to prevent any
unintentional readjustment of the settings.
• The display shows “0¬¬“.
• The display will alternate between “0¬¬“ and the set power level/keep-warm level.
• To deactivate the “LOCK“ function, press the “LOCK” touch key for about 2 seconds.
The touch key for the main switch “ON/STANDBY“ can be activated at any
time to switch the appliance into standby mode.
8. Switching off
• To switch the appliance into standby mode, press the touch key of the main switch
”ON/STANDBY“.
• The display indicates:
”-L-“
if the temperature on the cooking zone is
< 60 °C
.
”-H-“
if the temperature on the cooking zone is
> 60 °C
.
• The pilot lamp of the ”ON/STANDBY“ touch key is permanently on.
• The appliance is in standby mode now.
• For a complete switch-off, disconnect the appliance from the mains after each use.
Electrical appliances featuring a standby mode consume some energy also when
in state of rest. Save energy by disconnecting the appliance from the mains after
the fan has stopped running and keep it unplugged when not in use.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Before cleaning always unplug the appliance!
• Let the appliance cool down before cleaning!
• Never immerse the appliance, the power cord and the
plug in water for cleaning. Do not wash them under
running water!
• Remove any coarse residues from the glass ceramic plate by means of a special glass scraper.
• Following that clean the cold glass surface with a damp cloth and some dishwater and wipe it dry
with a clean cloth or kitchen tissue.
