Equipment features
Touch control sensors
The appliance is equipped with touch control sensors which grant an easy and convenient handling.
Contacting the touch key with your finger activates the relevant function, which is confirmed by an acoustic
acknowledgement signal. Always keep the control panel clean and dry and to not touch it with wet
fingers. Do not use it as a shelf of deposit, as this might lead to malfunctions.
Electronical temperature monitoring
The appliance features an electronical impedance matching. It monitors the tem-
perature of the cooking zone and, by automatically adjusting the power output,
prevents the cookware and the food from overheating.
Each power level correlates with a maximum surface temperature. In case this
value is exceeded, the electronic control automatically reduces the power input.
This automatic impedance matching appears in the display as a “-“ in front of the
set power level (e. g. “-12”).
Child-proof lock
By activating the touch key “LOCK”, the appliance can be secured against accidental
readjustment of the settings. If this function is on, all touch keys are blocked.
However, the touch key of the main switch can be activated any time in order to switch
the appliance into standby mode.
PowerBoost function
The “BOOSTER“ touch key activates the PowerBoost mode. This function allows for an
increased power output of up to 2100 W for a certain operation period. After that, the
appliance switches back to the previously set power level.
This function is not available in the keep-warm mode.
Keep-warm levels
The appliance features 2 separate keep-warm levels.
The keep-warm levels allow for e. g. melting chocolate at about 60 °C or keeping warm
dishes at about 80 °C.
Residual heat indication
The residual heat indication of the appliance shows whether the cooking zone is still hot and if there is
any residual heat which can be used for keeping warm food.
If the temperature of the cooking zone has reached a value of more than 60 °C
due to the waste heat emitted by the pot, the display shows “-H-”.
