5. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Cause
Solution
The UPS is connected to the
mains but the battery charge
indicator goes out.
1. UPS power cable is poorly
connected.
2. Failure of the output fuse.
1. Check the UPS for proper
connection to the mains.
2. Replace the fuse.
The UPS generates acoustic
signals and operates in the
autonomous mode at normal
mains voltage.
1. The UPS has detected
surges/failures of input volt-
age and switched
to the back-up mode.
2. Poor contact in the circuits
of the UPS connection
to the mains.
3. Activation of the input fuse.
1. It’s a normal event. The UPS
protects the equipment from voltage
failures in the power supply mains.
2. Check the UPS connection
to the mains.

The UPS operates when
connected to the mains
but fails to work in the
battery mode.
