Engine Air Cleaner/Filter
Pickup Models
The air cleaner/filter assembly is on
the front corner of the engine
compartment on the passenger side
of the vehicle.
When to Inspect the Engine Air
Cleaner/Filter
Inspect the air cleaner/filter every
25 000 km (15,000 mi) and replace
the filter if necessary.
How to Inspect the Engine Air
Cleaner/Filter
To inspect the air cleaner/filter,
remove the engine air cleaner/filter
by following Steps 1-9. When the
engine air cleaner/filter is removed,
lightly shake it to release loose dust
and dirt. If the engine air cleaner/
filter remains covered with dirt, a
new filter is required. Never use
compressed air to clean the filter.

the screw on the clamp to
secure it to the air cleaner
housing.
9. Install the harness electrical
connectors.
