Names and functions for each part

1.

INPUT jack

The input terminal for standard 1/4” jacks.

2.

BOOST switch

The boost switch works with both the clean channel and the overdrive channel.
When the switch is turned on, the orange indicator lamp lights up.

1) When the BOOST switch is used with the clean channel and the GAIN con-

trol is set low, the volume increases. When the GAIN control is set high, as
the volume increases a natural distortion is produced.

2) If you are using the overdrive channel, turning this switch on will raise the

volume level. You can also use the included foot switch to control this. If a foot
switch is connected to the rear panel FOOT SW jack, the foot switch will take
priority, and this switch will not function.

3.

GAIN control

This adjusts the clean channel gain level. When the BOOST switch is on, turn-
ing up the GAIN control produces a natural distortion and a crunchy sound is
obtained. At the same time, the sound volume increases.

4.

BASS control

The low-range sound area equalizer. It is possible to boost or cut the 100 Hz
band by ±17 dB.

5.

MIDDLE control

The mid-range sound area equalizer. It is possible to boost or cut the 1 kHz
band by ±17 dB.

6.

TREBLE control

A shelving-type equalizer for the high-range sound area. It is possible to boost
or cut the band of 4 kHz or higher by ±17 dB.

7.

VOLUME control

This adjusts the volume level for the clean channel.

8.

REVERB LEVEL control

Adjusts the reverb level. Note that if you connect the included footswitch, you
can use it to toggle the reverb effect ON and OFF. (This REVERB On/Off toggle
feature is available only with the footswitch. There is no corresponding switch
on the main panel.)

9.

CHANNEL switch

This switches between the clean channel and the overdrive channel. The green
LED indicator lights up when the clean channel is selected, and the red one
lights up when the overdrive channel is selected.
As an alternative to the CHANNEL switch, you can use a footswitch connected
to the FOOT SW jack to switch the channels. (Connecting the footswitch to
FOOT SW disables the CHANNEL switch.)

10. GAIN control

It is possible to adjust the gain when using the overdrive channel (level of over-
drive distortion.) The amount of distortion will be reduced to produce a clear and
individual sound when the control is lowered.  As it is raised, the amount of
distortion increases, as does the sustain level.

11. BASS control

The low-range sound area equalizer. It is possible to boost or cut the 100 Hz band by ±12 dB.

12. MIDDLE control & MID SHIFT pull switch

Controls the mid-band equalizer. The MIDDLE control cuts the center level by
up to –20 dB. The pull switch sets the band’s center frequency to either 1 kHz or
600 Hz, so that you can change the setting on the fly. As an alternative to the
pull switch, you can use a footswitch connected to change the frequency. (The
pull switch is disabled if a footswitch is connected.)

13. TREBLE control

A shelving-type equalizer for the high-range sound area. It is possible to boost
or cut the band of 4 kHz or higher by ±12 dB.

14. VOLUME control

Adjusts the volume of the overdrive channel. (Note that setting the BOOST switch
to ON will boost the volume by 6 dB, approximately doubling it.)

15. REVERB LEVEL control

Adjusts the reverb level. Note that if you connect the Included footswitch, you can use
it to toggle the reverb effect ON and OFF. (This REVERB On/Off toggle feature is
available only with the footswitch. There is no corresponding switch on the main panel.)

16. EFFECTS LOOP SEND jack

Use this jack when connecting the amplifier to compact effects units. The jack
outputs at –10 dB (not counting EQ). Connect to the input jack on the effects
unit, using a shielded cable with 1/4" plugs.

17. EFFECTS LOOP RETURN jack

Use this jack when connecting the amplifier to compact effects units. This is a
input jack designed for –10 dB input (not counting EQ). Connect to the output
jack on the effects unit, using a shielded cable with 1/4" plugs.

18. PRESENCE control

This is located at the final stage of the preamp, and adjusts how the ultra-high
frequencies are suppressed. This control is always effective for both channels.

19. HEADPHONES jack

This is a 1/4” output jack for stereo headphones. The sound is not reproduced
through the built-in speakers when headphones are in use.

Warning

The headphone output produces a large volume of sound. Ensure that the volume has been
turned down before beginning to play using the headphones, and then slowly increase the
volume until it has reached the desired level. Note that the noise and distorted sound sig-
nals produced when inserting or removing the plug at high volume levels will not only result
in damage to the headphones, it may also result in damage to the user’s hearing.
