RD-323 Knife Sharpener
Röndell knife sharpener is provided with diamond
coated abrasive plates for preliminary sharpening
and with profi led ceramic plates for the fi nal blade
polishing. The sharpener may be applied for sharpening
both straight-bladed and tooth-bladed knives.
Röndell knife sharpener enables sharpening knives in
two stages: preliminary sharpening (zone 1 for the right
and left blade side), fi nal blade polishing (zone 2 for
the right and left blade side). The preset slope angle
ensures ideal sharpening of the knife blade, both from
its right and left sides, at the minimum costs to your
strength and time.
Diamond is the hardest natural material known, and
the abrasive plates of Röndell knife sharpener are very
durable.
The RD-323 knife sharpener is convenient for right- and
left-handed persons. Sharpening zones with markings
on both sides simplify the usage of sharpener. Zone
1 is intended for preliminary sharpening, and Zone 2
- for fi nal polishing of the knife blade.
General knife sharpening instructions
Before using the sharpener make sure the knife blade
is clean and has no fat traces.
- Place Röndell knife sharpener on an even stable
surface.
- Put the transparent cover off the sharpener.
- Holding the sharpener by the handle with one hand
take the knife in the other hand.
- Holding the knife by the handle place it in the
preliminary sharpening groove (zone 1) and gradually
run the blade towards yourself throughout the full
length of the knife. Repeat this procedure several
more times depending on the extent of sharpening.
- After having sharpened the blade from one side
place the knife blade in the other groove and make
sharpening from the other side.
- During sharpening do not press the knife, but just
extend it throughout the full length of the blade.
- Continue sharpening till the blade is sharp.
Note: It takes 10-15 movements along the grooves
of the zone 1 to sharpen the knife blade. If the
blade is not sharp enough, run it along the grooves
of the zone 1 for a few more times. Do not start
final polishing of the blade (zone 2) till the blade
is sharp.
- Make a fi nal blade polishing by the grooves of zone 2
similarly to the procedure of preliminary sharpening
with use of zone 1 grooves.
Guidelines
If you are a left-handed person, turn the sharpener, hold
its handle with your right hand and the knife with your
left hand, then follow the above-stated-instructions.
Attention! Do not check the quality of the knife
blade sharpening using your finger or any other
body part, as it can cause injuries.
