3) If everything is correct, only digital dot remains lit on the digital display (heating function is not active
yet.
4) Push the ON/OFF button on the control unit to switch on the product. Digital display shows default
temperature setting.
5) Proceed to adjust the temperature among the four available settings by pushing the temperature
button on the control unit. In the same way, adjust your desired AUTO-OFF time by pushing the time
button. At this point the product is running and regulating temperature normally. After a few minutes
you will be able to perceive warmth. You can set the control unit at the maximum level to obtain a
faster warm up. Remember, however, that you should not use this setting continuously for more than
one hour. After that time, we recommend that you lower the temperature gradually. For overnight or
continuous use we recommend setting the unit at its lowest level (level 1). Check that there are no
creases or folds.
6) To switch off the product proceed to push the ON/OFF button again. The heating element remains
switched off and only digital dot is lit on the digital display. To turn the product on push the ON/OFF
button once again. Remember to unplug the product from the mains if you do not use it for a
considerable period of time.
7) Unplug the product and let it cool down before folding it for storage.

SAFETY AUTO-OFF
To maximize safety when using the product, an additional safety switch off function has been incorpo-
rated into every control unit. This function sets a maximum period of time for which the product can
operate continuously. The period is set for 12 hours, but other shorter periods can be selected by the
user, through the time selection button. When these periods have elapsed, the product will switch off
automatically. This reduces the risk to the user of spending too much time in contact with the heating
element, as well as the risk of leaving the product in operation unnecessarily.
When the safety AUTO-OFF function is activated, the heating element is switched off. To restart the
product, push the control unit ON/OFF button.
CLEANING
Before cleaning the product remember to unplug it from the mains. Do not dry clean the product.
Do not use strong detergents or cleaning agents containing solvents. The control unit is not washable.
Prevent the control unit from getting wet or moist.
The product should not be used in case of wet or damp. If the product gets wet, do not wring it out to
dry it, do not use tumble dryers and never iron or switch the product on to dry it. To dry the product
extend it flat or hang it on a line avoid folding it.
Those models with detachable control unit can be hand or machine washed, after having detached the
control unit. For machine washing, select a programme for delicate garments, at 30º C. Those with non-
detachable control units can only be hand washed, always taking great care not to wet - or splash water
on - the control unit.
If hand washed, use a soft detergent and rub or brush softly and always in the
direction of the internal wiring. Never wring the product. After washing, to dry the product extend it flat
or hang it on a line avoid folding it.
To get smaller stains out you may prefer using a cleaning foam instead of washing. Apply the foam
regularly on the product’s surface using a moist cloth or sponge, and then brush it in the direction of the
internal wiring.
